An ideal candidate for this position will come from a Mechanical Engineering background, and be proficient in CAD packages, including Autodesk and Inventor. This is an office-based role with exciting opportunities to manufacture products on the shop-floor.

A unique opportunity with an expansive and industry-leading business has arisen. This business are currently experiencing a rapid period of growth and looking to expand their engineering team within the electronic sector. As an Embedded Electronics Engineer, you will be working on multiple projects, overseeing all elements of the projects from design, to assembly, to testing. The ideal candidate will be a time-served electronic engineer, with proficiencies in PCB design and a keen understanding of firmware, hardware, and software.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with other engineers within the team. This will involve design, assembly, prototyping, and testing.
  • Design and analyse electronic circuits, focusing on analogue and digital components.
  • Address issues within the design and performance of products, ensuring that they are compliant with ISO9001 and other industry-specific quality standards.
  • Generate test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of products.
  • Create firmware using programming languages, including but not limited to C++.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must be a time-served Electronic Engineer (minimum of 5 years).
  • BEng Electronic Engineering/HND Electronic Engineering/other Electronic Engineering related qualification.
  • Highly proficient in PCB design.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience of using electronic hand tools.
  • Electronic assembly experience.
  • Proficient in using Altium 365.
