Team Manager, £44ph, Safeguarding Team, ConwyLocation: Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough CouncilDuration: 12 weeks (potential for extension)Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayRole OverviewPertemps are recruiting for an experienced agency Team Manager to support the Safeguarding & Legal Team within Conwy County Borough Council's Children, Families, and Safeguarding Service.The successful candidate will work closely with the Section Manager, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, needs-led services to children and families in need of care and protection. This includes overseeing case management, supervising Social Workers, quality assuring court reports, and contributing to court and PLO processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Section Manager in managing the Safeguarding & Legal Team.
  • Supervise Level 2 and Level 3 Social Workers, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Oversee case management and ensure timely, high-quality assessments and outcome-focused care and support plans.
  • Quality assure court reports and represent the team in court and PLO meetings.
  • Ensure robust governance and oversight of legal processes and casework.
  • Contribute to the delivery of services for children and families in need of care and protection.
  • Work collaboratively to manage and address complex safeguarding issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Social Work Qualification with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience in managing safeguarding teams and working within legal frameworks.
  • Registered with Social Care Wales (or willingness to register before commencing work).
  • Strong technology and software skills to support efficient case management.
