Role Summary:


  • Analyse and interpreting pre-construction data and information and client specifications and ensure project designs meet their requirements.
  • To solve problems and develop design solutions, play a central role in designing necessary mechanical equipment for power and process control.
  • Produce the design deliverables, such as specifications, drawings, data sheets, and schedules, in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Ensure design risk assessments and design solutions consider innovation/value engineering for best value, as well as safety, cost, and time constraints.
  • Provide technical support, as required by the pre-construction and project delivery teams contributing to and supporting the estimating, planning, procurement functions.
  • Assist in the identification and pre-qualification of subcontractors.
  • Participate in client meetings, co-ordinate with third party contractors and attendance of start-up, site visit, and design meetings.
  • Ensure that the design is submitted for acceptance by the Client Project Manager in-line and that "Approved for Construction" documentation is prepared and issued to the delivery team as per the accepted programme.
  • It is important to continuously develop your skills and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, best practices, and innovations within the water industry.
  • Ensure all design activities comply with the requirements of the company's Integrated Management Systems and procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and advice to site, construction, and remote delivery teams at all stages.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
