Quality and Compliance Engineer
My client is a well-established and leading organisation that specialises in making a range of high-performance products to help deliver future-proofed buildings. Due to growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Quality and Compliance Engineer to join their team based in Kingscourt Co.Cavan.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position.
Hours of work: 8am-5pm.
With a salary of £40,000 per annum.
Job Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organisation's QMS (Quality Management System) and control processes. As the Quality Engineer, you will implement, manage and improve quality management systems, conduct audits, and be an integral member of continuous improvement initiatives. As a compliance engineer, you will lead the team in managing and governing compliance policies. Collaborate with the management team in developing innovative policies and procedures to ensure that the Extrusion Centre of Excellence is a quality and compliance management leader.
Essential Criteria:
- Industrial experience.
- Minimum Level 7 Diploma/Degree.
- Recognised quality management accreditation and be able to demonstrate that you have delivered on significant quality objectives within a manufacturing environment.
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies.
- IT proficient with the use of Microsoft suite.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Have a systematic, analytical and enthusiastic approach to work with good attention to detail.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- With the management team provide leadership and development of the business to maximise the effectiveness of the Quality System.
- Critical member of the team to develop a continuous improvement culture that addresses the root cause analysis of customer complaints and to lead a culture of change to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of customer complaints management.
- To work functionally across all departments offering guidance and support of the quality management system.
- Implement continuous SPC improvement process, which reduces non-conformances and achieves business goals and key performance indicators.
- With management effectively communicate our strategy, obligations, and behaviours throughout the organisation at all levels of the business.
- Â To play an integral part in the Extrusion Centre of Excellence management team striving for commonality and best practices in compliance management. Analyse and evaluate the performance of the system to identify any need for corrective action.
- To put in place measures to audit, monitor and review Quality for legislative compliance and standards approval of all standards. (ISO 9001 / ISO 37301).
