We are working with a globally renowned manufacturing organization to recruit a Head of EHS. This key role will serve as the operational lead, driving strategy and overseeing HSE initiatives across the division. Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Director, the Head of EHS will be responsible for shaping and implementing comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental strategies while leading continuous improvement efforts.

The Head of EHS will support and mentor divisional operational teams across a diverse portfolio of sites all over the UK. The Head of EHS will be responsible for:

• Implement and maintain HSE policies, ensuring alignment with global group standards.
• You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be.
• You will drive cultural change, continuing to bring HSE and compliance to the forefront.
• Lead initiatives around traffic management and vehicle movement safety.
• Coaching, managing and developing operational stakeholders.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and drive preventative measures

The Head of EHS will have:

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Be an enabler able to demonstrate prior examples of driving HSE initiatives.
• Must have experience managing and developing cultural change.
• Experience maintaining management systems such as ISO14001, ISO 45001.
• Proven leadership skills, the ability to engage at all levels is vital.
• Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence
