Job Title:Project Engineer
Location:Northamptonshire
Salary:45,000 D.O.E
A leading engineering company seeking a skilledProject Engineerto join their team. You will be responsible for delivering complex projects from design through to commissioning, with a focus on system layout, project execution, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering:Create 3D/2D GA drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, integrating in-house and third-party equipment for optimized layouts.
- Project Execution:Manage the engineering development of projects, including detailed design, BOM creation, and customer liaison. Support installation and commissioning.
- Continuous Improvement:Analyze completed projects to enhance design processes, costings, and competitiveness.
- Collaboration:Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and Project teams to ensure the successful delivery of each project.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in sheet metal and fabricated product design.
- Proficiency in 3D & 2D CAD Software.
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Desirable:
- Experience with special purpose machinery (conveyors) and recycling equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
