Shift Times: Mon to Fri 09:00-17:30
Rate of Paye: £29.00 p/h Umbrella

Interaction Recruitment are supporting our client in Corby with their hiring of an Asbestos Surveyor on a 3 month contract.

You will report directly with the Team Leader for our client and carry out Asbestos surveys (Management, Refurbishment and Demolition) in Domestic, Commercial and Leisure properties.

There will be extensive reporting of data and findings, so strong IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

· Carry out management and demolition/refurbishment asbestos surveys of any type of property within the councils property portfolio. In addition to site works there is a requirement to write reports and carry out quality assurance works.
· Carry out ad-hoc bulk sampling works as required.
· Ensure that all work is in full compliance with the requirements of relevant asbestos legislation and guidelines and in accordance with any professional institutions.
· Supporting the asbestos team and other council departments through advice, feedback on survey processes and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings and correspondence on a monthly or ad-hoc basis as appropriate.
· Liaise with other departments throughout the council, during all stages of the asbestos survey and report writing process.
· Liaise with other departments on all asbestos remediation works.
· Reviewing all documentation associated with the remediation process and carrying out quality assurance works when required.
· Undertake project management and audit of asbestos removal processes including Licensed and Non Licensed Works.
· Deputise for the Asbestos Works Co-ordinator as and when required.
· Carry out all responsibilities with regard to the Councils Equalities & Diversity and Customer care policies.
· To comply with all Health & Safety at Work, CDM and Asbestos regulations as required by legislation.
· Provide technical support to trades people and contractors.
· Promote good practice with other departments and partners of the Council.
· Any other duties commensurate with the grade as reasonably required of the post-holder following consultation.
