Job Purpose

The purpose of this Marketing & Development Assistant role is to:

  • Support the general marketing and press function of The Core at Corby Cube in promoting its shows and community activities.
  • Assist with day-to-day digital marketing tasks, including website updates, email and campaign creation, social media updates, and correspondence.
  • Support the delivery of activities that increase the value of membership and donations.
Key Task Areas

Marketing:

  • Support the Marketing & Development Manager in creating marketing material, including season print and brochure, email communication, social media, newsletters, and ad-hoc items.
  • Oversee the content entry for the website and social media platforms, including news features, competitions, interactive features and feedback surveys, ensuring individual show pages remain up to date at all times and exploit all relevant content relating to individual areas.
  • With the Marketing & Development Manager, monitor and engage with public interaction on social media platforms.
  • Liaise with community hirers to aid them in feeling supported in their marketing activity and ensuring appropriate use of the brand.

Development:

  • Be the first point of contact for all prospective enquiries and be proficient in providing appropriate information to potential donors and members.
  • Support the Marketing and Development Manager to account-manage all supporters, ensuring exceptional customer service and the delivery of agreed benefits.
  • Work alongside colleagues across all departments to maintain the agreed level of administrative, marketing, and customer service necessary to deliver the development strategy.
  • Support the organisation to host and attend functions, ensure appropriate liaison with all departments.

Additional Information

£13,962 per annum (Pro-rata of £22,959).Part-time - 22.5 hours per week.Working pattern negotiable.

Essential Skills

Experience

  • Experience in implementing/maintaining administrative systems/procedures
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment or with key stakeholders

Knowledge/Qualifications

  • An understanding of marketing and working in an arts environment
  • An understanding of the web and social media platforms as a marketing tool
  • An understanding of and commitment to live performance, young people, and the wider community
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent written and proofreading skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation, scheduling, and planning skills; able to prioritise a sizeable workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work using initiative or as part of a team
Desirable Skills

Experience

  • Experience in using box office systems as a marketing and sales tool
  • Experience in analysing data and producing reports

Skills/Abilities

  • Building emails using Wordfly
  • Using Photoshop and Canva to create promotional material for social media, emails and website
