A client within the Public Sector based in the East Midland is currently recruiting for a Repairs Officer (Surveyor) to join their Repairs & Maintenance Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority in a social housing environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to be responsible for inspecting and surveying both occupied and void properties across North Northamptonshire, ensuring all works meet the Council’s lettable standards and health & safety regulations.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Inspect occupied and void properties within the North Northamptonshire area.• Provide detailed reports on works required to meet the lettable standard • Produce schedules of works and detailed drawings for operatives.• Demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills for using in-house operating systems.• Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage, motivate, and promote staff.• Ensure compliance with housing condition claims, H&S regulations, and other relevant guidelines.The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:• Experience in the Social Housing Sector, particularly with inspections of occupied and void properties.• A full clean UK Driving Licence.• Knowledge of current NHF schedule of rates and H&S legislation (HHSRS, CDM, Asbestos Awareness, etc.).The below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Experience managing teams and promoting staff in a social housing setting.• Strong understanding of Housing Condition Claims.• Technical competence in producing detailed reports and schedules of work.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £22.23 per hour PAYE).How to ApplyIf this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to .uk or call Amy at Service Care Construction on to discuss the vacancy in more detail.Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.Referral BonusIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details, or forward these details to them.
