An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 'hands on' Finance Manager to join our manufacturing client based in Corby. The company is a subsidiary of an organisation with a strong global presence, which includes 22 manufacturing facilities and sales offices worldwide. You will join a friendly, hard-working team and will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities within the organisation. Working closely with the Managing Director and key stakeholders, you will provide insights that drive strategic decisions and support the company's growth plans.

  • £40,000 - £50,000 dependent upon experience
  • Working hours Monday to Thursday 9.00 am-5.00 pm (30 mins lunch) and Fri 9.00am-4.30pm (30 mins lunch) 37 hour working week

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce management reports to provide financial insights to the MD and SMT
  • Liaise with external accountants to prepare and finalise year-end accounts and manage the annual audit process
  • Prepare and submit global financial reports to the regional headquarters, ensuring alignment with standards and timelines
  • Management of all banking duties including bank reconciliation, managing and processing ledger payments
  • Responsible for weekly cashflow forecasting and banking figures to Head Office
  • Oversee the payroll process with the outsourced payroll bureau and compliance with HMRC and auto enrolment regulations
  • Management of the purchase ledger; setting up of new suppliers, managing supplier payments and credit card transactions
  • Oversee credit control and ensure that appropriate credit terms and limits are set, debtor days are kept at minimum and any risks raised to the MD

Skills and experience required:

  • ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualified - QBE will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience within manufacturing desirable
  • Experience of working within a multinational environment desirable with experience in global financial reporting
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of IFRS accounting
  • Experience of margin analysis, cost /sales
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Sage 200
  • Confident in dealing with Directors and stakeholders in the business
  • Strategic thinker and demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop
