This is a newly created Finance Manager position to work with the MD to manage the finances of a range of businesses.
There is no other way of putting it, this man is a serial entrepreneur.
Right now, the Group has a collection of assets of around £25M and no less than 10 Ltd companies.
Companies in the portfolio range from pubs, rental properties, land, housing development and a veterinary practice.
You will be joining a well-established team and overseeing an Assistant Accountant.
Now, some entrepreneurs have a reputation of fast and shrewd moves, but you could not be further from that image with this company.
The MD is a Chartered Accountant by trade and began his career in Practice. … The way he works is methodical and well thought out. … He believes in treating people and businesses fairly and through doing so has built up a great reputation.
So why recruit this role now?
Well, the MD is looking to create this role to add more structure to the company and to ensure that their firm of Accountants has all the information they need at the end of the year.
You’ll find that starting this role there will be a lot to get on with, you’ll want to put your own stamp on things, and you will be given the space and resources to do what you need to do.
The end result will be full and complete monthly management accounts, a well-shaped accounts department and the MD will have all the time he needs to do what he does best.
As you can imagine, this role is open to all sorts of people, whether it is the first move from Practice into Industry or someone looking for a step up and more of a challenge… What is most important is finding the right person to fit within the company.
