Summary:
At Bis Henderson, we are seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to join a growing logistics business based in Corby. Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Driver Trainer will take responsibility and accountability for Driver Assessment and training. They will assist in the onboarding process for new staff to ensure adequate training is given to all team members. The successful candidate will also undertake periodic assessments and provide training and support with any refresher courses that are due. A highly personable character with excellent communication and training skills is desirable for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake Driver Assessments and assist in post-incident investigations as required.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure all H&S standards are met.
- Deliver training to the team to ensure compliance and highest standards are met.
- Complete accurate reporting and documentation.
- Promote better ways of working and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Cover Drivers as required.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Driver Trainer in a FMCG logistics environment.
- Experienced HGV driver.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements involved in a transport operation, including vehicle checks, loading and driver hours.
- Able to effectively deliver driver training and carry out assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
