Interim Payroll Manager| Temporary | Corby | Salary Negotiable Depending on Level of Experience - Inside IR35

Macildowie are excited to be working with a fantastic industry leading company based in Corby who are looking for an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to join their team.

This client are looking for a hands on payroll manager to be heavily involved with continuous improvement projects, as well as overseeing a team of 6 payroll administrators.

The client can offer very flexible hybrid working for the right candidate - Up to 4 days a week from home.

Position: Interim Payroll Manager

Location: Hybrid working - Up to 4 days a week from home

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing and Oversight:

  • Process, oversee, and direct multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely production.
  • Maintain compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
  • Supervise the payroll team to deliver high-quality work.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Generate and analyse payroll reports to support financial and management reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely FPS and EPS submissions to HMRC.
  • Oversee the preparation and issuing of P60s and P11ds to employees.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead a successful payroll team, instilling best business collaborating practices.
  • Manage holiday approvals, appraisals, reviews, training, and other ad-hoc duties for the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in payroll and people management, preferably in a high-volume or Shared Services environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel (V-look ups and Pivot tables).
  • Ability to perform complex payroll calculations.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
  • Advanced UK Legislation knowledge, including benefits and ERS.
  • Desirable: ADP systems experience is massively advantageous
