Aqua Gas Manufacturing Limited is part of the AVK Group, market leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of valves, pipe fittings, hydrants and flow control equipment to the Water, Wastewater, Oil and Gas industries throughout the world. Aqua-Gas Manufacturing is the renowned innovative manufacturer of BS 750 Fire hydrants and resilient seated gate valves for the UK, since 1979.

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Powder Coating Sprayer to join our team in Corby playing a vital role in delivering high-quality finishes on our products and help support the growth of the facility.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coating various products, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, whilst adhering to industry standards to meet production targets.

This role is integral in advancing operational excellence, leadership within the spray team, and supporting our commitment to lean manufacturing principles.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Take ownership of the quality standards for all sprayed items, conducting thorough inspections to ensure consistency, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.

Act as a proactive problem-solver in the face of spraying or coating challenges, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Lead by example in adhering to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines, maintaining a safe and compliant workspace for everyone.

Continuously develop expertise in spraying techniques, materials, and technologies, with a commitment to excellence in quality and finish.

Engage in on-the-job training and development programs to learn advanced spraying techniques, coatings, and equipment, with support from the company.

Engage in regular process reviews to identify areas for improvement in spraying applications, materials handling, and equipment maintenance.

Stay updated with industry trends and new spraying technologies, sharing insights to enhance team performance.

Employ lean manufacturing techniques to streamline spraying processes, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity without sacrificing quality.

Participate in maintaining an organised and efficient workspace through the 5S principles.

Minimise overspray and use coatings effectively to reduce waste.

Carry out any other duty that is reasonably requested by the manager/director.

ABOUT YOU:

Previous experience working in a similar role, within manufacturing.

Experience of powder coating is preferable but not essential (any other type of spraying experience would be considered).

Work to a high standard and attention to quality is essential.

Take initiative to complete tasks without request.

Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels to include senior stakeholders.

Excellent organisation / time management skills.
