The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for managing and optimising the entire supply chain process from demand planning through to product delivery. This highly analytical role will require you to develop forecasts, analyse data, and collaborate across multiple functions to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods. You will drive improvements in processes and provide actionable insights that support the achievement of our operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee the full supply chain lifecycle, including demand planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics coordination.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials and that finished goods are delivered on time to meet customer demand.

Forecasting and Demand Planning:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to generate accurate demand forecasts.
  • Utilise historical data, market trends, and advanced analytical tools to predict future demand patterns.

Data Analysis and Optimization:

  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leverage analytical skills to optimise inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve on-time delivery.

Inventory and Production Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance demand with supply, ensuring no stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and adjust production schedules based on demand forecasts and capacity constraints.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with key stakeholders, including procurement, logistics, finance, and sales, to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges and implement solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the supply chain and recommend process improvements.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance the end-to-end supply chain process.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on supply chain performance, issues, and trends for senior management.
  • Communicate supply chain challenges, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations within a consumer goods or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of supply chain optimisation techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficient in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, or similar tools).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
