Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Corby
Salary: 39,000 - 42,000
Hours: 45 hours per week - rotating shifts 6:00-15:00 / 9:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)
We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer that is experiencing continuous growth. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining production machinery, ensuring maximum productivity. You will be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, working within health and safety regulations. Supported by a strong team of engineers, this position offers progressive training and development in a secure and stable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring quick repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance across the facility.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all plant equipment is compliant and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate and manage external contractors when required.
- Oversee apprentices, providing guidance and support in their development.
Requirements:
- Apprentice-trained with a recognized engineering qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven experience in carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Ability to work under pressure with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
