Maintenance Engineer - Nights
An outstanding opportunity is now available for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, to join the Maintenance department, within a well-established manufacturing facility in Corby. A highly competitive renumeration and Benefits package is available.
What does it involve?
- Maintenance of plant and equipment
- Identifying, diagnosing and fixing faults and breakdowns
- Carrying out of planned Preventative Maintenance
- Facilitating and executing continuous improvement activities
- Liaising with Engineering Manager to plan corrective actions
- Prioritising and managing workload to ensure minimum impact on production efficiency
- Completion of paperwork
- Supporting all manufacturing facilities as required
- Overtime is available at an enhanced rate
What skills will you need?
The right person will be highly motivated, flexible, reliable and experienced, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
- Experience/further education in engineering
- Experience of PLC systems for fault finding and minor programming modifications
- Experience using and installing Variable Speed Drives VSD's
- Excellent communication skills, and able to balance conflicting demands
- Must be fluent in English at a Technical level
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Computer literate
- Basic Health and Safety and Basic Food Hygiene Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of delivering CI activities
- Knowledge of up-to-date maintenance techniques and policies
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Maintenance in the FMCG food industry (desirable)
The successful candidate will work on a permanent night shift, from Sunday to Thursday from 22.00-06.00, and will be suitably trained and experienced.
