Engineering Manager

£50,000 to £55,000pa, NN17 1QE, Mon to Fri 8am till 5.00pm, Pension, Training, Parking, 25 Days Holiday + BH, Permanent

Due to continued success and rapid expansion plans, a UK manufacturing engineering firm has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join their Corby based site. You will provide daily managerial support to a team on 5 site design engineers, reporting directly to the Technical Director:

  • Finalising all manufacturing drawings for production, ensuring client specification is met
  • Working in conjunction with other internal departments advising production of manufacturing requirements, and requesting materials from procurement team
  • Building relations and understanding of product requirements with all internal departments
  • Guild design teams daily to assist them with their job role
  • Setting up manufacturing specification onto internal ERP system, producing and updating internal manuals
  • Managing, forecasting and monitoring budgets for department
  • Working closely with Project Engineer on future product requirements

We would expect the successful Engineering Manager to be able to demonstrate a strong people management skills, a good working knowledge of CAD, have excellent communication skills, and be able to educate others. Working directly with the Technical Director, as well as other department managers. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if have worked within engineering management, design management or a mechanical engineering management role.
