Factory Supervisor – Nights
Location: Corby
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Nights)
Salary: £39,000 - £41,000

Are you an experienced factory professional ready to take the next step into leadership? Join our team as a Factory Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring our production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely during the night shift.

About the Role

As a Factory Supervisor, you will support the Head of Production by overseeing the night shift operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and product quality, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. You will act as the responsible person on-site, leading the team and ensuring all processes run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal quality on all machines, ensuring work orders are set up accurately and jobs are monitored throughout production.
  • Maximise efficiency by minimising setup times and waste, while achieving high machine speeds.
  • Manage the department holiday planner, organise cover, and fill overtime requirements to ensure production continuity.
  • Conduct weekly stock takes and report findings to Production Support.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Train and mentor new team members, equipping them with the skills to succeed on various shifts.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the department, enforcing adherence to written procedures.
  • Report incidents and accidents promptly to management.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proficiency in using tape measures and micrometres accurately.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to interpret written instructions and production reports in English.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • "Train the Trainer" qualification or equivalent experience in training team members.
  • Experience in setting up and performing job changeovers on machines.
  • Ability to carry out basic machine maintenance.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a BRC-accredited factory environment.
  • Familiarity with operating machinery in a production setting.
