We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Manager to join a globally recognised manufacturer in Corby. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. Role Description
- Effectively manages staffing and machine resources to ensure the production unit achieves all of its associated production objectives, including but not limited to, production scheduling, quality levels, productivity, factory responsiveness, work-in-process inventory, and cost.
- Manages (develops and executes) an effective Tooling Program.
- Manages (develops and executes) an effective Repair and Maintenance Plan.
- Drives and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, including leadership to others. Effectively implements continuous improvement efforts with the goal of improving quality, reducing cost and improving overall performance. This includes utilizing all TQM techniques to both reactively and proactively address actual and potential issues preventing SPIROL from achieving World-Class status.
- Establishes an annual operating plan for the group which includes, but is not limited to, capacity plans, manpower plans, capital plans including machine rebuilds, and procurement plans.
- Manages (develops and executes) effective training and development plans for all levels of employees within his / her organization.
- Achieves the production schedule reliably with zero overdue work orders, and 100% on-time delivery of product to the manufacturing scheduled date.
- Achieves world-class quality as it relates to First-time-Quality in the department.
- Achieves production at the standard cost with zero variances, and when a variance occurs, a rigorous root cause and corrective action process is executed to eliminate it from occurring in the future.
- Executes a well organized Performance Management & Coaching Program which creates a positive and engaged workforce.
- 100% on time delivery of performance reviews for direct reports.
- Strong evidence (Operations Database) of implemented continuous improvement projects which have a significant positive impact on SPIROL's operations.
- Zero customer complaints associated with poor quality product escaping the manufacturing unit.
Skills and Qualifications
- Manufacturing Management Experience
- Degree Educated - Preferred
- IT Literate
- MRP, JIT Knowledge
- Proven Leadership Qualities
