Operations Manager

My client is currently recruiting for an Operation Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. They are looking to recruit an experienced Shift Manager or Operations Manager who can drive performance within the DC, continue CI projects and deliver the best services to their customers.

Overall, this person will manage the operation, leading a team of shift managers, team leaders and operative whilst planning resources and motivating the team to meet business objectives effectively.

Main tasks and duties:

  • Reporting in to site General Manager, you will oversee and manage the day to day operations and exceed customer requirements
  • To monitor and report on KPI’s and ensure that the team remain focused on delivery
  • Continuous improvements projects
  • Ensuring that health, safety and welfare is maintained along with appropriate training is completed.
  • Account management and client interactions both face to face, digitally and verbally.

Experience required:

  • Experienced Operations lead or Shift Manager with experience of working within distribution
  • Preferably 3PL experience but not essential
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Proven experience of CI projects
