TRAINEE WORKSHOP ENGINEER, Up to £25,000, OVERTIME AVAILABLE, PERMANENT, IMMEDIATE START, MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00AM-16:00PM, PENSION, PARKING

We are working with a well-established company based in Northamptonshire, specialising in manufacturing. Our client is committed to quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, and they are currently seeking a Trainee Workshop Engineer to join their skilled team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer.

We are looking for an engineer who is looking to grow and develop their engineering skillset within manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical mindset and be proactive in problem-solving. If you are passionate about engineering and want to develop your skills, then this could be the perfect role for you.

Duties of the Trainee Workshop Engineer:

  • Take apart machinery and repair anything that requires maintenance.
  • Respray any paintwork that is damaged or requiring maintenance.
  • Perform fault finding and regular maintenance as required.
  • Basic working knowledge of various types of machinery, including Lathes, Mills, Grinders, Pillar Drills, and CNC Machinery.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain capital machinery to high standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain an organised and safe working environment in line with company health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Passion for engineering and desire to develop skills in a supportive environment.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical tasks such as wiring and testing.
  • A strong mechanical mindset and passion for engineering.
  • Ability to operate manual machinery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform sound MIG Welding and Fabrication when required.

Qualifications:

  • Hold Level 2 NVQ Mechanical Engineering
  • Hold Level 3 NVQ Mechanical Engineering or currently working towards
  • Hold HNC in Mechanical Engineering or currently working towards
  • Hold Full UK Driving License

An overhead crane license and/or Counterbalance FLT license would be advantageous.

Location: Corby

Salary: Up to £25,000 pa

Benefits: 4 day working week, Pension, Parking, Overtime and Training (If Required)

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 16:00pm
