WORKSHOP ENGINEER, Up to £32,000, OVERTIME AVAILABLE, PERMANENT, IMMEDIATE START, MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00AM-16:00PM, PENSION, PARKING

We are working with a well-established company based in Northamptonshire, specialising in Manufacturing. Our client is committed to quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, and they are currently seeking a Workshop Engineer to join their skilled team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer.

We are looking for a skilled, mechanical-biased engineer with a background in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical mindset and be proactive in problem-solving. If you are passionate about engineering and have a keen interest in working with machinery, this could be the perfect role for you.

Duties of the Workshop Engineer:

  • Take apart machinery and repair anything that requires maintenance.
  • Respray any paintwork that is damaged or requiring maintenance.
  • Manufacture replacement parts as and when required.
  • Perform fault finding and regular maintenance as required.
  • Successfully perform PDI checks (Pre-Delivery Inspections) to ensure machinery meets quality standards.
  • Work with various types of machinery, including Lathes, Mills, Grinders, Pillar Drills, and CNC Machinery.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain capital machinery to high standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain an organised and safe working environment in line with company health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform basic electrical tasks such as wiring and testing.
  • A strong mechanical mindset and passion for engineering.
  • Ability to operate manual machinery.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform sound MIG Welding and Fabrication when required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of 5 experienced engineers.
  • Hold Full UK Driving License.

An overhead crane license and/or Counterbalance FLT license would be advantageous.

Location: Corby

Salary: Up to £32,000 pa

Benefits: 4 day working week, Pension, Parking, Overtime and Training (If Required)

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 16:00pm
