- Possess a working knowledge of ISO 9000 / TS 16949 Quality System standard.
- Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy, principles and objectives of the total quality process is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively at every level of the organisation from floor employees to senior management.
- Working knowledge of human relations, group dynamics, and problem solving techniques is required.
- Analytical ability and creativity in the areas of problem solving and group dynamics with a high degree of initiative.
- Laboratory experience, including metallurgical knowledge is preferred.
- ASP or ASME certification is preferred.
- Responsible for maintaining, implementing and improving the Quality Program through execution of the following:
- Development and conduction of training to establish a knowledge base.
- Hands-on use of tools with the purpose of spreading knowledge through execution, while at the same time generating improvements to processes or situations.
- Facilitate the SPC program, practices and systems, along with their effectiveness.
- Take responsibility for Gage R&R procedures, practices and systems, along with their effectiveness.
- Serving as CAR system coordinator, assisting Managers with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action development.
