We are proud to be working with thisOfsted approved residential childcare provider who currently have an exciting opportunity for a number of Residential Childrens Workers and Team Leaders to join their team in Corby.

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals who will be responsible for providing the highest possible quality of care to assist the looked after children to reach their fullest potential. Our client provides services to young people that present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needsas well as Communication and Interaction Needs.

Location: Corby, NN18

Key responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the basic care of children assisting and ensuring good personal care, health care, education and recreational activities

  • Proactively support the young persons care plan

  • Transport/support young people to and from school, health appointments etc

  • Ensure a regular log and record of events is maintained including night observation/medication checklist

  • Prepare and write reports in accordance with the childs needs and organisational requirements

  • Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans

Requirements:

  • Genuine commitment to welfare of children

  • Previous experience of working with children and young people is advantageous

  • Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep ins

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce or working towards it-desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience

  • Full UK driving license and own car are a must

  • Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
