Teaching Assistant

ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Coventry on a full-time basis.

About the role:

• A well-established school is seeking an enthusiastic, devoted, and caring learning support assistant to work with children with special educational needs.
• The school is looking for someone to provide support to children on a one-to-one and small-group basis in a classroom setting, working alongside a Teacher and additional support staff.
• Promote student engagement and participation during lessons.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment that encourages growth and independence for all students.

• A secondary specialist school for 11 – 18 years catering for students with complex communication and interaction difficulties. Many students have a diagnosis of autism.

About you:

We are looking for candidates who: -

• Have relevant experience supporting students with autism, complex communication and interaction difficulties.
• Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Are dedicated, compassionate, and eager to go the extra mile to support the students in your care.
• Can provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.
