An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts and Administrative Assistant for a new role in Corsham. The successful candidate will be responsible for anything from basic accounts receivable work, processing stock orders, to providing general administrative support.

This is a full-time position, with an earlier finish on a Friday, circa 35 hours per week.

The daily tasks involved will include (but not exclusive to) the following:

  • Preparing and sending sales invoices.
  • Processing stock orders for deliveries to our clients.
  • Placing orders with our suppliers.
  • Chasing and receiving payments via telephone and email.
  • Some basic reconciling of our accounts system.
  • Sending of payment letters to bad debtors.
  • Answering the telephone and managing Customer queries.
  • Preparing basic customer quotations via email.
  • Administration of warehouse stock management system.
  • Some support and assistance to the route planning team.
  • Assisting the Office Manager with a range of varied administrative tasks.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for the role you will:

  • Be competent using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience with Xero/Sage Accounting Systems an advantage.
  • Have previously worked in a similar position.
  • Be approachable and organised with your time.
  • Have a polite and friendly telephone manner.
  • Ability to work alone using own initiative.
