An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts and Administrative Assistant for a new role in Corsham. The successful candidate will be responsible for anything from basic accounts receivable work, processing stock orders, to providing general administrative support.
This is a full-time position, with an earlier finish on a Friday, circa 35 hours per week.
The daily tasks involved will include (but not exclusive to) the following:
- Preparing and sending sales invoices.
- Processing stock orders for deliveries to our clients.
- Placing orders with our suppliers.
- Chasing and receiving payments via telephone and email.
- Some basic reconciling of our accounts system.
- Sending of payment letters to bad debtors.
- Answering the telephone and managing Customer queries.
- Preparing basic customer quotations via email.
- Administration of warehouse stock management system.
- Some support and assistance to the route planning team.
- Assisting the Office Manager with a range of varied administrative tasks.
The Successful Applicant
In order to be considered for the role you will:
- Be competent using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience with Xero/Sage Accounting Systems an advantage.
- Have previously worked in a similar position.
- Be approachable and organised with your time.
- Have a polite and friendly telephone manner.
- Ability to work alone using own initiative.
