Are you an experienced Electrician looking to step into an exciting, hands-on role in a bustling Estates and Facilities Management environment?

We’re hiring on behalf of our client, who is seeking not one but two skilled Estates Engineers to join their growing team in Corsham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile PFI contract and work across commercial buildings and residential accommodations, performing essential electrical maintenance and installations.

Key Responsibilities

As an Estates Engineer Electrician, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance: Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, including SFG20 and all relevant ACoP’s and JSP’s.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and remedial work to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborative support: Work alongside the wider estates team, taking part in the On-Call Rota to ensure continuous service.
  • Compliance and safety: Uphold the highest safety standards, following Health & Safety protocols and Permit to Work procedures.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent technical diploma, plus the 18th Edition qualification.
  • Experience: At least 3 years post-qualification experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a commercial setting.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with a wide range of electrical systems, fixtures, and components.
  • Safety knowledge: Familiarity with safe systems of work, industry best practices, and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and teams.
  • Physical capability: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, working at heights, and confined spaces.
  • Time management: Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to the On-Call Rota.
  • License: Full UK driving license.
  • Security clearance: Eligibility for full security clearance (SC).
