Contract System Support Engineer - On Call - Corsham (SC / DV)

My client currently have an exciting opportunity for a System Support Engineer to join their existing experienced team.

You will need active SC or DV clearance for this role.

They are delivering a transformational digital capability to a MOD customer. The capability will shortly be in the hands of users and they need additional skills and experience to support the maintenance and delivery of the CI/CD pipeline of the capability.

Primary responsibility - provide engineering skills and follow technical direction in the maintenance of the Pacific solution.

Subordinate responsibilities:

  • Conduct patching and updates to the Pacific solution, communicating potential impacts of any changes to the management team.
  • Support planning for resolution of existing technical debt and plans for remediation.
  • Support the identification and sizing of the work required to deploy changes from the MVC pipeline, including the development of the engineering plans required to prepare for and execute the changes.
  • Support Find and Fix of issues within the Pacific solution.
  • Support out of hours call-out to provide 1^st^/2^nd^ line response to P1/P2 system performance issues.
