Estates Engineer - Plumber

Location: Corsham

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Plumber to join their growing Estates Team, supporting a busy site at a crucial phase of the PFI contract. If you’re skilled, passionate about delivering top-quality workmanship, and ready to take on new challenges, this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Role

As an Estates Engineer-Plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems across both commercial buildings and living accommodations on-site. You’ll ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, following industry regulations like SFG20 and ACoPs/JSPs. This role is vital in supporting the wider estates team with water hygiene inspections and participating in the on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems and fixtures.

Conduct both planned and reactive maintenance on commercial buildings and accommodations.

Ensure all work is compliant with safety regulations and industry best practices.

Support water hygiene inspections and maintenance tasks.

Accurately complete documentation, including inspection reports and remedial logs.

Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications: City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or above (or equivalent technical diploma).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in plumbing maintenance, ideally within a commercial environment.

Skills:Strong knowledge of a wide range of plumbing systems, fixtures, and health & safety protocols.

Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with clients and teams.

Physically able to perform tasks involving lifting, working at heights, and in confined spaces.

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.

Full UK driving license and willingness to participate in the on-call rota.

Security Clearance: Able to achieve full Security Clearance (SC).
