Role Overview:
We are seeking a Desktop Architect who will be instrumental in designing and implementing desktop solutions tailored for our diverse user base, including Windows users and power users. This role will encompass overseeing the integration of various technologies, including Thin Client and Zero Client setups, desktop peripherals, and endpoint management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and configure desktop environments that effectively support Windows users and power users, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee the implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and VDI applications, guaranteeing seamless user access and high-performance standards.
  • Work closely with Tier 2 support teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve desktop-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all desktop configurations are optimised for performance, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools aimed at enhancing desktop solutions and improving overall user experience.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of desktop architecture principles and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Key qualifications and experience may include:
  • Proficiency in Thin Client and Zero Client technologies.
