Do you have a background in Procurement or Purchasing? Have you managed relationships with suppliers on a global scale? Juice is delighted to be recruiting for a Wiltshire based business in their search for a new Purchasing manager.
Initially this role will include day to day management of 1 x team member, however in time we expect the function and head count to increase. This role is within manufacturing industry within a secure and well-reputed company.
DAY TO DAY:
Hands on role in improving and refining the purchasing model, making improvements and developing best practice throughout
Raising and reviewing purchase orders
Recruiting, mentoring and developing new staff in the purchasing function
Maintaining robust and accurate records and details of all good sourced and purchased through updating the CRM
Negotiating with global suppliers from the Far East and China and working closely with Directors of the business to identify new suppliers where needed
Collaborating with the Quality Control function, evaluating effectiveness of products based on timescale / cost
Overseeing and co-ordinating the associated inward bound logistics for purchased materials with land / air freight couriers, informing other operational teams within business
Ensuring effectiveness of suppliers through analysis and appraisals
WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:
3 years or more in a purchasing role
An educational qualification within purchasing
A sound understanding of a ERP systems in general and an ability to learn new software quickly
Previous experience of managing / supervising a small team
