Contract Type: Part-Time, Approx. 30 Hours Per Week (Half-Day Fridays)
Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD)? Do you have the skills and experience to make a real difference in their lives?
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing 1:1 and small-group interventions to support learners with BESD. You will assist teachers in the Pupil Referral Unit and help pupils within their mainstream classrooms, while delivering tailored behavioural programmes to enable pupils to achieve their full potential. You will actively contribute to improving outcomes for challenging and vulnerable pupils.
We are seeking candidates with proven experience working with children who have significant behavioural challenges. You should hold a qualification in a teaching assistant course, a degree in education or child development, or a PGCE. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and support children with BESD are essential for success in this role. While knowledge of Welsh is preferred, it is not mandatory, and basic Welsh skills will be considered helpful.
