Salary DoE but c55,000 - 65,000 + package
30-year-old contractor has grown to become one of the leading names in Pub Refurbishment, Reactive and Planned maintenance in the South of England. Typical projects would be 4/5 weeks duration (pubs, bars etc.) c50k - 500k in value - mostly internals but sometimes external decorations.
Due to expansion, they are now looking to recruit a bright, ambitious and committed Project Manager to join the business on a full-time permanent basis. The Project Manager would be out and about most days. A typical day (not always) would look like this: come in to the office until 9/10am, let the traffic disappear, go out to sites - come back 4/5 pm. Sometimes out all day, no one has to be in the office.
Background must be construction (building fabric) either academically or manually. The role is to work within the projects team to deliver quality service, on time and on budget to meet the client's expectations. The ideal Project Manager will have some experience managing projects in the very fast paced leisure industry and would have 4/5/6 live projects at any one time.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Attending client meetings
Scoping works both with the client and independently
Programming/planning of the initial set up of sites.
Commercial duties- Inc Quoting, Valuations and Final Accounts
Assisting with tender returns
Ensuring all client and in house health and safety requirements are adhered to.
Organising labour and subcontractors to meet client deadlines.
Visiting site and reporting back to the team on progress and expected completion dates.
Generally working within the team and with day-to-day tasks as required.
