My clientis seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join their team and keep the fleet of HGV and LGV's in peak condition.
As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles within our fleet. You will play a key role in ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake adjustments.
Carry out servicing and fault diagnostics of HGV, LGV's, trailers and Powder Tankers.
Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, drive systems, and other vehicle components.
Ensure all works are carried out under cover of risk/COSHH, method statements and permits to works.
Follow the company Health & Safety policy.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
Report any defects of plant or equipment to Site/Fleet Manager.
Collaborate with the fleet management team to schedule and prioritise vehicle maintenance.
Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Attend meetings and training courses when required.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a fleet or commercial setting.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
