Job Summary

Review and completion of financial statements and tax, ensuring we remain complaint with legal standards, plus mentoring the accountants to develop their technical knowledge. The individual will be passionate about providing an excellent client experience and will ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with internal and statutory deadlines.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

*Assist and oversee the preparation of financial reports including statutory and management accounts.*Assist and oversee the preparation of tax returns for self-assessment, corporation, and partnership tax.*Prepare and review dividend and interest planning calculations for clientele.*Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.*Provide accurate financial advice to clients.*Deliver company products and services on-time (DOT) and within budget (DIB) as per internal and statutory deadlines.*Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.*Offer advice and suggestions for improvements to be made.*Review work prepared by junior staff members.*Support, coach and mentor accountants within the team to develop their technical knowledge.*In conjunction with the Team Manager conduct 121 and bi-annual appraisals for junior accounts team*Support junior staff with internal and external queries.*Ensure compliance with legal accounting standards.*All employees take responsibility for maximising revenue, cost saving and expenditure

Required Qualifications / Attributes:

*Solutions mindset*Having a solid understanding of key tax matters - Corporation Tax, Personal Tax etc*Having a solid understanding of accounting software systems*Excellent communication and verbal skills at all different levels to include presentations, with the ability to self-motivate and respond to clients*Excellent attention to detail*Excellent client service*ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent*Previous experience within a practice environment, including experience in reviewing the work of others*Keen attitude to learning and growing your knowledge
