My client is a long-established and reputable accountancy practice based in Coventry, West Midlands. They seek a Corporate Tax Accountant to support, learn from and ultimately succeed the Corporate Tax Partner.

There are two key drivers behind the recruitment of this role. Firstly, succession planning at Partner level. Secondly, an increase in high level projects based on a significant increase in the corporate client base. It is an exciting time and this is a unique opportunity!

This is a Partner-track role.

What you'll be doing:

With the support of the Partners and Directors;

  • Assisting managers and partners with ensuring that the team deliver a world class service to their clients
  • Preparing & reviewing corporation tax computations
  • I nvolvement in the provision of advisory work and projects in respect of - Sales, acquisitions & reorganisations, International and cross border considerations, Capital allowances, R&D Credits, Video Games Relief, Patent Box, Remuneration planning and more...

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified or finalist ACA / ICAEW, ACCA, ATT or equivalent with the desire to pursue CTA, with full support from the firm
  • Previous Practice experience either as an accountant or tax professional, corporate or mixed
  • Demonstrable and current technical knowledge, comfortable with numbers and legislation
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • The desire and ability to 'act like a sponge', learning and developing your knowledge, experience and career.
