Your new companyWe are excited to be supporting a large and complex utilities business based in Coventry with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner to help drive performance and delivery of capital and projects and programmes. Your new roleIn this role you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising capital investments. You will play a key role in enhancing Capital Delivery and boosting programme performance. Your responsibilities will involve offering well-rounded, insightful perspectives on regulatory, performance, and financial goals. As a proactive and engaging professional, you will maintain a high standard of monthly reporting and continuously challenge current practices to identify both immediate and long-term improvements. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting the capital spend and delivery outcomes, working closely with stakeholders across the business. You will also enhance and refine the Capital Programme Governance and accounting processes to ensure business targets are met, budgets are adhered to, and risks to delivery are identified and analysed. Along with this, you will also identify crucial Management Information (MI) and prepare comprehensive capital reports for presentation to leadership teams on a monthly basis.What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with good technical accounting skills and a high degree of commercial acumen. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate with, and influence, at all levels will be required.
