Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting our industry leading client to recruit a Finance Business Partner into their Coventry based team. The team demonstrate a strong focus on driving business success through effective capital management and reporting, and are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their high-performing team. The successful candidate will be qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), on site 3-4 days per week, and offered a salary up to £55,000 with industry leading benefits on top.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing performance and financial delivery by providing robust, insightful, and balanced views across regulatory, performance, and financial objectives. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to monitor and report on financial activity, applying strong governance and financial acumen to support the business in achieving its targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide insightful analysis, strategic challenge, and support the successful delivery of capital projects.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Lead month-end reporting for key business areas, preparing detailed forecasts and budgets, and presenting capital reports to senior leadership teams and approval bodies.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide detailed analysis of financial and non-financial outputs against regulatory, financial, and efficiency targets. Identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the development and implementation of strategies by leading key projects to enhance reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify key risks and opportunities related to performance commitments and work closely with delivery teams to mitigate risks and capitalise on potential improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Strategy, Strategic Asset Planning, and Finance teams, and act as a trusted advisor in capital planning and governance.

About You:

  • Proven experience in understanding performance metrics and driving improvements.
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence up to Senior level
  • Strong accounting background with the ability to communicate complex accounting standards to a non-financial audience.
  • Ability to connect and interpret complex data sets, prioritising insights that drive business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to tailor messages for varied audiences.
  • Strong MS Office and SAP ECC/BI capabilities.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with a strategic mindset.
