As a Financial Accountant, you will become a key player in a dynamic team, responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and control across our UK operations. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders, you will:

  • Be instrumental in producing monthly contract profit and loss accounts, helping to steer our projects toward profitability.
  • Take ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring precision and clarity in financial reporting.
  • Drive process improvements, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and financial control.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure our financial practices align with group policies while supporting operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach direct reports, fostering a high-performing, growth-focused team culture.
  • Support the Financial Controller with month-end consolidations, group reporting, and P&L accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
  • Drive process improvements, implementing sustainable changes to enhance efficiency and control.

Requirements

  • Newly qualified or finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a strong foundation in finance principles.
  • Proven experience in Balance Sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and control processes.
  • A keen eye for detail paired with the ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
