Financial Reporting Accountant - 12-month FTC

Coventry - 1 day in office, 4 days from home

Our client is looking for a talented Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an ACA qualified professional with a passion for technical accounting. The successful incumbent will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS, consolidation and supporting the wider finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial information

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory accounts and financial reports for the group and its subsidiaries
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards
  • Conduct technical research on complex accounting issues and provide expert advice
  • Supporting month and year end close
  • Assist in the preparation of annual reports and other regulatory filings
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the audit process
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and controls

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • ACA/ACCA qualified ideally from an audit background
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Our client operates a hybrid working model with 1 day in the office and the rest from home
