A Global Leader in engineering technologies are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team, processing payroll across 7 UK sites from their Head Quarters in Coventry.

Working alongside the Payroll Manager, you will see your skills and experience positively impact the company from day one, running monthly payroll through the use of payroll systems ensuring accurate delivery of payroll for up to 2000 employees including inputting of overtime, on call, unpaid sickness, allowances, attachment of earnings, SMP and SPP.

Want to know more about the Payroll Specialist role? Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for a workforce of ~2,100 employees.
  • Coordinate with site teams on Time & Attendance systems.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX and audit requirements.
  • Manage payroll-related queries, collaborating with HR to resolve issues.
  • Process payroll data, including overtime, allowances, deductions, and statutory payments.
  • Administer the company’s contribution pension plan.
  • Generate financial reports for payroll cost allocations.
  • Support employees with E-payslip access and account requests.
  • Handle termination payments and year-end P60s.
  • Oversee Share Incentive Plan administration.
  • Partner with Benefits and Global Rewards teams on car, PMI, bonus, and review programs.
  • Engage in ad hoc payroll and HR projects as needed

  • Proven experience in payroll processing
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to use/create VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables
  • Experience working with payroll software packages. (Added bonus for Day Force experience).
  • Experience working with Time & Attendance software packages – UKG Dimensions knowledge would be useful.
  • Experience maintaining data with a high level of data accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of Payroll and HR legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
