Do you enjoy working with numbers and want to work in an Accounts team? Do you have office administration experience? Are you keen to learn and develop new skills? Do you have good computer literacy skills and attention to detail?

We have been retained to find an Accounts Assistant for a growing and profitable supplier of products to the industrial, engineering and building sectors.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role requires someone with a professional manner and the flexibility to pitch in to do whatever is needed.

You could be new to working in an Accounts environment or have some experience but be happy at this level. Full training will be given.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Check the Accounts email inbox to print invoices and deal with queries.
  • Register purchase invoices and prepare for processing.
  • Input a range of purchase ledger invoices to the Accounts system.
  • Scan purchase invoices and save electronic copies.
  • Assist the Credit Controller by raising credit notes and chasing overdue payments.
  • Answer the telephone and direct customers to the appropriate team member.

The company is based on the Birmingham side of Coventry and is well placed for the Coventry train stations and bus routes.

The salary on offer will be negotiable depending on what skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the position.
