We are hiring for an Accounts Assistant who is experienced managing purchase and sales ledgers, monthly reconciliations, and payroll processes in Coventry. This is a dynamic and fast-paced growing business environment where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's financial systems and processes.

Duties of an Accounts Assistant

In this role you will be working in the Finance team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial records and processes. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Reconciling supplier statements and processing weekly payment schedules.
  • Updating and processing purchase orders and invoices in SAP software.
  • Managing customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment reconciliation.
  • Assisting with monthly and quarterly reports, including Balance Sheets, P&L reports, and VAT returns.
  • Preparing and processing payroll.

Skills and experience of an Accounts Assistant

As an Accounts Assistant, you need have experience with;

  • Knowledge of accounting software.
  • Processing of payroll.

It would be beneficial to the Accounts Assistant role if you also had;

  • A minimum AAT Level 2 accountancy qualification.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
