Assistant Accountant / Accounts Semi Senior

Our client is a modern, forward thinking accountancy practice that has beenserving clients in the Coventry, West Midlands, and Warwickshire area for over 20 years and they are now looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Semi Senior to join the small and friendly team.

You will play a pivotal part in the team by preparing accounts for unincorporated and incorporated businesses, completing company and personal tax returns and other general accounting tasks, alongside continuing to build up client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working closely with other members of the team to provide accounting and taxation services to a variety of clients.
• You will be preparing accounts for unincorporated/incorporated businesses.
• You will prepare company tax returns and personal self- assessment tax returns.
• You will be involved in the preparation of management accounts.
• Forming client relationships across a range of businesses and sectors.
• You will be instrumental in mentoring and supporting accounts apprentices and junior team members.

Personal Attributes:

• Accounting experience within practice
• You should have obtained your AAT qualification or started your ACCA.
• You should have basic knowledge of main accounting systems for example, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• You should be a confident and articulate communicator.
• You should be comfortable with managing a varied workload.
• Demonstrate a hands on, and proactive work ethic.
• You should work well in a team.
