We are excited to announce that we are partnering with a fast growing business based in the Coventry Town Centre to recruit for a temporary to permanent Assistant Treasury Accountant role. This role will be supporting the Head of Finance with a range of tasks. What makes this role exciting is that we are not specifically looking for someone who has done this role before, instead we are looking for someone who has some strong experience with reconciliations and is confident using excel and then from there they are happy to provide all other training.

Due to this role being a temporary to permanent, we are looking for people who are immediately available or on a short notice period (one week) for this role as we are needing someone who can start quite quickly!

Key responsibilities:

  • Daily bank reconciliation and updating management on bank balances.
  • Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts in multiple currencies.
  • Process manual payments and BACS payment runs
  • Processing and posting general journals as part of month end responsibilities
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders to resolve day to day banking queries.
  • Reconciliation of the credit cards on a daily basis and journal posting of accruals and prepayments.
  • Assisting the sales ledger team with raising sales invoices on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Supporting with cash allocation tasks, liaising with credit control to match unallocated payments.
  • Various balance sheet reconciliations to be performed as part of month end
  • Assisting the purchase ledger team with supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Supporting financial accounting team with specific ad-hoc tasks

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Have previous experience with reconciliation tasks.
  • Be strong on Microsoft excel.
  • Willing challenge questionable items within the business and confident to raise your thoughts on issues.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be immediately available, or on a short notice period and be able to start work quite quickly to start working on the handover
