Senior Workshop Leader

Location: Ryton-on-Dunsmore

Rate: Umbrella £38.27/hr, PAYE £29/hr

Contract: Inside IR35, 18 month initially.

As the Senior Workshop Leader, you will manage process leaders and oversee the running of manufacturing work streams, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery for VIP customers. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll apply Lean working principles to resolve build issues, improve processes, and develop solutions in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities of Senior Workshop Leader:

  • Lead and manage process leaders, ensuring compliance with KPIs and metrics.
  • Oversee health & safety and HR compliance within the workshop.
  • Develop processes to address build issues, applying Lean principles like SWCs, QPS, and Kaizen.
  • Write WES, Step Repairs, and RIS documents to support process development.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for bespoke customer vehicles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Group Leaders in delivering key launch objectives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and discipline.
  • Positive and flexible attitude with the ability to work across different shifts and locations.
  • Experience in manufacturing & paint systems, and quality processes.
  • PC literate with strong problem-solving skills (e.g. PPS).
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Technical knowledge of key vehicle electrical systems is a plus.
