Simon Acres has partnered with a prestigious trade association representing merchants and suppliers across the UK and Ireland. We are looking for an Engagement Executive to join the team and support the continued growth of the membership base. This established position will play a vital role in maintaining member engagement, fostering relationships, and maximizing the value members receive from the association's offerings, including training and skills development, business support, and policy advocacy.

Location: Coventry

Salary: upto £28,000 basic + bonus scheme

Hours: 35 hours per week, Mon to Fri only (early finish on Fridays!!)

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for existing members and Business service providers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing members.
  • Focus on increasing engagement with members who have low or no engagement with the association.
  • Maintain accurate records of member communications and data on the CRM system.
  • Proactively promote all services, training, and support available to members.
  • Organise and promote supplier and service-related forums.
  • Ensure all opportunities and member queries are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support for colleagues as requested.
  • Present a professional image in all communications and meetings.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the building materials sector (desirable).
  • Proven experience handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Excellent telephone manner with strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan your own workload effectively.
  • Calm, professional, and focused under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • A "can-do" attitude with flexibility to help in a small team.

Desirable:

  • Easy commuting distance to and from Coventry.
  • Driving license and access to vehicle.
  • Previous experience working in a trade association is beneficial.

Additional information:

  • Primarily office based role with occasional travel to other venues (overnight stays may be required).
  • Option to work from home up to two days per week after completing the probationary period.
  • Office hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday), early finish on Fridays.
