Project Support Officer required - Part time 14 hours a week, working any days - Can be working from home or from the clients Coventry offices. 拢22per hour for 3 - 6 months but could maybe go on loner up to 12 months. Working for a very prestigious public sector client of ours.
Provide project management expertise to primarily support and coordinate a range of projects being undertaken as part of the companies AI Implementation Programme. The role involves administrative, technical, and other related support for the programme lead, ensuring effective and timely project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
路 Administrative and Technical Support: Prepare and maintain project documentation, establish project files, and provide support in procurement and contract documentation.
路 Project Management: Apply project management best practices to assist the programme lead to set up and deliver various projects, develop project management procedures, and report project progress and outcomes.
路 Communication and Risk Management: Manage communication flow, identify and highlight risks, and maintain a lessons learned log.
路 Data and Presentation: Prepare data and assist in presentations and report preparation for key stakeholders.
路 Stakeholder Engagement: Provide oversight to ensure any internal working groups or consultations are effectively facilitating the exchange of information to support project completion.
路 Financial Responsibilities: Raise purchase orders, maintain records of client change instructions, and where applicable liaise with colleagues and suppliers to monitor project budgets.
路 Information Management: Develop and maintain a project information management system.
路 Equality and Diversity: Promote and comply with the organisation's Equality and Diversity policy.
Working Relationships and Contacts
路 Internal: Programme Lead, Executive Team, Policy and Communications team, Intake, Assessment and Investigation teams, Business Support teams.
路 External: Suppliers, members of the public, central and local government bodies and other organisations as required by the needs of the programme.
Person Specification
路 Knowledge: Project management principles and methodology. Procurement processes under the Crown Commercial Service's frameworks.
路 Technical/Work-based Skills: Excellent IT literacy, ability to use project management tools and with a clear vision about which to use.
路 General Skills/Attributes: Flexible, proactive, organised, problem solver, attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, able to lead others on project work, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
路 Experience: Experience in applying project management methodology to public administration issues.
路 Qualifications: Prince 2 qualified or similar (essential). Degree or comparable qualification (desirable).
