Person Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:

  • Time served engineer, ideally from an FMCG / Chemical engineering environment
  • Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND/NVQL3
  • Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments

Job Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Working as the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will ideally have experience of maintaining manufacturing, packaging and plant machinery from a mechanical perspective.

  • Work in partnership with the Engineering Manager to carry out reactive repairs to site machinery
  • Completing line changeovers such as replacing tooling, components and materials
  • Responding to breakdowns and working to PPM’s.
  • Troubleshooting & practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
  • Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
  • Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.
